Luigi Mangione’s federal trial now scheduled for January 2027 to not clash with state case

According to The Guardian, Luigi Mangione's federal trial in connection with the death of UnitedHealthcare executive Brian Thompson is now scheduled for January twenty twenty-seven. The trial date was adjusted to avoid conflicting with his ongoing state-level case. Mangione has pleaded not guilty to murder and weapons charges in state court, and to stalking counts in federal proceedings. Thompson was killed on December fourth, twenty twenty-four, in New York City.
