Bluetooth Shock Collar Keeps Wearer On Task

Hackaday reports that a developer named Liam Kloppers, tired of doomscrolling, rigged up a Bluetooth-controlled shock collar to zap himself whenever he spent too long on social media. He reverse-engineered the collar's protocol and linked it to his phone's automation app. The first test, even at a low setting, made him throw his phone across the room and hesitate to pick it up again. Now he's considering a less painful audible alarm instead.
