Pakistani airstrikes kill dozens of civilians in Afghanistan, officials say

According to France 24, Pakistani military forces launched overnight airstrikes and ground operations in Afghanistan, killing at least thirty-six civilians and wounding more than one hundred sixty others, Afghan officials said Monday. Pakistan said the strikes were in response to militant attacks across its own territory. Afghan officials warned the operations would be met with retaliation, as tensions between the neighboring countries continue to escalate.
