A whopping 14 million species of insects — or more — may roam Earth

New calculations suggest there may be fourteen million insect species inhabiting Earth—roughly double or triple what scientists had previously estimated, according to Science News. The finding underscores how much of our planet's biodiversity remains undiscovered, with insects making up the vast majority of animal life overall.
