Comstech chief remains defiant in face of ‘damning inquiry’
politics
Dawn reports that a presidentially appointed inquiry has found Dr Iqbal Choudhry, the coordinator general of the OIC’s Comstech body, guilty of misconduct, financial irregularities and unauthorized foreign travel. The committee said he ran the executive committee alone for four years, took more than seventy trips without approval, and used funds for personal benefit. Dr Choudhry has called the probe one‑sided and questioned its legality, while the report’s recommendations have been sent to anti‑corruption authorities for further action.
