Neo-Cyclostyle: Automatic Document Copying Devices in 1890

Hackaday reports on a video demonstrating an eighteen-ninety Neo-Cyclostyle, a crank-powered document copying machine. The device uses a wax-coated template: a special pen removes the wax, then ink is pressed through the resulting stencil to make copies. The machine's rollers apply ink automatically, allowing many copies before the template wears out. Hackaday notes this was a precursor to more advanced designs that automated the process further, before newer technologies took over.
