A developer named Tobi has ported a basic version of Minecraft to the Super Nintendo. As Hackaday tells it, the game runs on the console's standard hardware without the need for additional 3D accelerator chips. While the resolution is an improvement over a previous Game Boy Color version, the project highlights the gap between basic sprite-based graphics and the true three-dimensional rendering seen on the Game Boy Advance.
