High-street slot machines and casinos could face £460m tax rise under Burnham

Adult gaming centers—or slot sheds, as the gambling industry calls them—have flooded UK high streets, often targeting economically deprived areas. Now, Labour's Andy Burnham is considering a four hundred sixty million pound tax increase on these casinos and gaming centers. According to The Guardian, an influential thinktank found that forty-three percent of the public would support the move.
