USC scientists just unlocked an endless supply of cancer-fighting immune cells

In a breakthrough announced earlier today, researchers at USC have developed a stem-cell-inspired technique that can produce vast quantities of immune-cell progenitors—cells engineered to seek out and destroy cancer while strengthening immune responses. In animal studies, these cells successfully fought tumors, restored immune function, and demonstrated potential as a durable, off-the-shelf therapy platform that could be manufactured in bulk and stored for clinical use.
