France's left fractures further as MEP launches presidential bid

Centre-left politician Raphael Glucksmann has announced he will run in France's presidential election next year. Per France 24, he joins a diverse field of candidates that includes far-right figures, centrists, and other left-wing politicians. This group includes hard-left leader Jean-Luc Melenchon and Greens leader Marine Tondelier, while Socialist Party leader Olivier Faure and former president Francois Hollande are also considering bids.
