Michigan governor threatens to pull troops from D.C. if used for Trump task force

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is threatening to withdraw her state's National Guard troops from Washington if the Trump administration repurposes them for a political task force. According to NPR News, Whitmer was one of four Democrats who sent Guard members to the capital to support the America Two Fifty celebrations. But she's now warning that if they're diverted to other assignments — specifically Trump's controversial initiatives — they're going home.
