Supreme Court takes sledgehammer to much of federal government's regulatory structure

In a sweeping decision, the Supreme Court today struck down most of the limits that Congress and the courts had put in place to protect the independence of regulatory agencies. According to NPR, the ruling removes constraints on agencies responsible for much of the federal government's oversight—from environmental protection to workplace safety.
