Most Memphis schools will reopen Tuesday after weekend storm

Most students in the Memphis-Shelby County Schools district will return to class on Tuesday, though eighteen campuses will remain closed following a severe weekend storm. Per Chalkbeat, the district shut down schools on Monday after winds exceeding seventy miles per hour left forty buildings without power. While most locations are reopening, officials say they must still verify that safety systems and traffic routes are accessible before the remaining schools can welcome students back.
