A wildfire dubbed the Hawk fire is now about twenty-seven percent contained near Reno, Nevada, two days after it broke out, according to The Guardian. Authorities say the wind-driven blaze was human-caused, and while tens of thousands remain under evacuation orders or warnings, those numbers have come down — twenty-three thousand people under a go-now order and forty thousand under a get-set warning, down from ninety thousand Nevadans affected on Monday morning.
