Freddie Mercury’s ‘splendid things’ to go on display at V&A

entertainment

The Guardian reports that eight iconic costumes worn by Queen’s frontman Freddie Mercury will be on display at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum this autumn. The free trail, titled “Freddie Mercury | Splendid Things”, was created with his former fiancée and close friend Mary Austin, who is lending seven of the looks—including the debut‑album cover outfit and the catsuit from the Bohemian Rhapsody video. The exhibition runs from twenty‑four October twenty twenty six through seventeen January twenty twenty seven, marking what would have been Mercury’s eightieth birthday, and the V&A, a world‑renowned design museum, will host the display.
