The Productivity Commission has called attacks on its integrity unacceptable after it labeled Western Australia's special GST deal a costly mistake. Per The Guardian (World), commissioner Angela Jackson stated that a line was crossed when the Western Australian premier referred to the commission as east coast clowns. Jackson also expressed disappointment that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has ruled out changes to the state's tax arrangements.
