According to ScienceDaily, scientists have finally confirmed what created the mysterious Silverpit Crater beneath the North Sea. A space rock roughly one hundred sixty meters wide struck the seabed roughly forty-three to forty-six million years ago, triggering a tsunami more than three hundred thirty feet high. The impact left behind a crater that geologists debated for years before piecing together this ancient cosmic collision.
