According to Channel NewsAsia, Meituan, China's delivery and services platform, has announced a new large language model called LongCat two point zero. The company claims its performance is comparable to Google's Gemini three point one Pro, released in February. What's significant: LongCat was trained using domestic Chinese chips, marking a step toward reducing reliance on foreign semiconductors as Beijing pursues AI independence.
