Telegraph’s £575m takeover by German group completed
business
Axel Springer, a German media company, has completed its five hundred seventy-five million pound acquisition of the Telegraph, according to The Guardian. The deal ends three years of uncertainty over the newspaper's ownership—Axel Springer outbid rivals including the owner of the Daily Mail. All regulatory approvals in the UK, Ireland, and Austria have been received.
