Nuclear weapons storage in spotlight as US plans $4bn boost for its UK airbases

According to an exclusive investigation by The Guardian based on Pentagon files, the US government is planning to invest four billion dollars in upgrades to its military and intelligence bases across the UK. The plans include constructing new bunkers in Suffolk that will reportedly store nuclear weapons, as well as modernizing facilities for covert operations. The budget also allocates one hundred sixty-three million dollars for secretive spy infrastructure.
