According to The Guardian, a thirty-one-year-old woman was killed in a rare alligator attack while swimming in the Econlockhatchee River in Florida's Seminole County. The attack occurred Sunday at Little Big Econ state forest, roughly twenty-five miles northeast of Orlando, and severed one of her arms. Fatal alligator attacks in Florida remain remarkably rare, making this a sobering incident.
