Burnham’s No 10 North ‘will be based on brownfield site on edge of Manchester’

The Guardian reports that Andy Burnham, Britain's incoming prime minister, is establishing No 10 North—a government operations hub in Manchester. The permanent facility will be based in Ancoats, on Manchester's outskirts, but won't open until twenty twenty-eight. Until then, Burnham will work from a temporary location in the city centre. It's part of a broader push to decentralize government away from London.
