Europe endures record-breaking heat that has never been seen before. According to The Guardian's European environment correspondent Ajit Niranjan, heat kills tens of thousands of people across Europe in a typical summer—ten times more deaths than murder. As temperatures in North Africa and the Middle East reach intolerable levels, the resulting climate-driven migration to Europe will force far-right parties to confront a paradox: the migration they oppose will be directly exacerbated by the fossil fuel pollution they support.
