What’s the catch? Menus across Australia to show seafood’s country of origin

Starting July first, Australian restaurants must now label where their seafood comes from on menus. The labels are simple: A for Australian, I for imported, M for mixed. According to The Guardian, the federal government mandate aims to give diners transparency about their food's origin and support local fishing industries. So before ordering that barramundi or prawns, you'll know whether they swam in Australian waters or came from overseas.
