An EV that sounds like a 6.75 L V8: A ride in the Bentley Torcal

Bentley is preparing to reveal its first fully battery-electric vehicle, a sports SUV called the Torcal. As Ars Technica tells it, the vehicle shares basic engineering with the Porsche Cayenne EV and is designed to deliver over eight hundred thirty-eight horsepower and more than seven hundred thirty-seven pound-feet of torque. The automaker is targeting a range of three hundred miles under EPA standards, with four hundred kilowatt DC fast-charging capabilities.
