Vera C. Rubin Observatory kicks off 10-year quest to map the cosmos

Today the Vera C. Rubin Observatory launched the Legacy Survey of Space and Time, a ten-year project to systematically photograph the southern night sky every three to four nights. According to Physics World, this ambitious survey will create an unprecedented archive of the cosmos, discovering new objects and tracking changes across the universe over the coming decade.
