Space Math at NASA: Math Problems Related to Magnetism

science

NASA Science is reporting that the agency has released seventeen math exercises focused on the scale, geometry, and shapes of magnetic fields. Designed for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade and beyond, the problems apply mathematical concepts to heliophysics topics such as magnetospheres and coronal mass ejections. The materials are intended for teachers to use as homework, warm-ups, or group activities to help students visualize invisible magnetic forces.
