Major egg producers settle price inflation probe for $3.3 million

Three major egg producers have agreed to settle price-fixing charges for three point three million dollars. Cal-Maine Foods, Versova, and Hickman's Egg Ranch will pay the Justice Department and seventeen states following allegations that the companies manipulated prices. According to CNBC, regulators say the settlement holds agribusiness accountable for pricing practices that affect everyday consumers.
