MTG-I2 completes Europe’s latest weather trio

Per ESA Space News, the second Meteosat Third Generation Imager satellite, MTG-I2, has launched aboard an Ariane 6 rocket from French Guiana. The flight, designated VA270, completes the first family of MTG satellites, which will deliver weather forecasting data over Europe and northern Africa with unprecedented quality, quantity, and frequency.
