Six feared dead after ‘bizarre’ sinking of charter boat off Canadian coast

According to The Guardian World, Canadian rescue teams are conducting a recovery effort after a fishing charter boat sank in the Strait of Georgia off Vancouver. Six people are believed to have drowned. The vessel was carrying ten people and did not issue a mayday call before sinking. A passing yacht crew made a critical distress call and rescued some of the stranded passengers, helping to prevent further loss of life.
