South Korea to re-examine 310,000 missing person cases after fake record scandal

South Korean police are set to re-examine roughly three hundred ten thousand missing persons cases closed over the past three years. The Guardian reports the review follows the arrest of an officer accused of falsifying records to close two cases involving people later found dead. President Lee Jae Myung has ordered an investigation into how police handled the case and told the force to draw up a reform plan.
