A Day of Flight Testing at NASA Armstrong

science

For nearly eighty years, NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California, has used flight testing to advance aviation and push aerodynamic limits. Earlier this year, the center tested a new wing concept as part of the Crossflow Attenuated Natural Laminar Flow—or CATNLF—initiative, designed to maximize smooth airflow over aircraft wings. The research continues to build the foundation for more efficient aviation.
