Would Netflix Make a Play for NBCUniversal Post Spin-Off? Why That’s Unlikely to Happen

Comcast is considering a spinoff of NBCUniversal that could theoretically attract acquirers. But Netflix is unlikely to be among them, according to Variety. The streamer was recently outbid on a major media deal: during a six-week negotiation, Paramount Skydance topped Netflix's offer to buy Warner Bros.' streaming and studio assets. Netflix had offered eighty-two point seven billion dollars, but Skydance prevailed. With that loss fresh, Netflix faces skepticism about its appetite for another massive media acquisition.
