Meta makes AI glasses slightly less creepy with limit on nonconsensual recording

Meta is updating its AI smart-glasses to prevent users from secretly recording others. As Ars Technica reports, the company is closing a loophole that allowed people to bypass the recording alert light by covering it after a video had already started. Alex Himel, Meta's executive vice president of wearables, says the update will ensure the camera stops working if the light is covered during a recording.
