Eight stable kernels with fix for a single vulnerability

LWN.net reports that Greg Kroah‑Hartman has announced eight new stable Linux kernel releases — 7.2.2, 7.1.12, 6.18.48, 6.12.107, 6.6.155, 6.1.186, 5.15.219, and 5.10.268. Each version contains a single patch addressing CVE‑2026‑80590, a flaw that lets an unprivileged user mark IPv4 or IPv6 fragments as generic segmentation offload, potentially triggering a kernel panic. The vulnerability, which has existed since Linux 2.6.27, is mitigated by upgrading to the newly released kernels.
