Women with irregular periods should be checked for PMOS, NHS says
health
The NHS is recommending that women with irregular periods be tested for polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome—or PMOS, the newly renamed condition formerly called polycystic ovarian syndrome. That's roughly four million women in the UK. The update emphasizes the need for earlier screening and standardized care.
