The Supreme Court just reshaped campaign finance rules for the 2026 midterms. According to Axios, a new ruling allows campaign committees to spend unlimited money in coordination with candidates—a practice that was restricted for decades. The change particularly benefits Republicans, who are shifting toward coordinated spending to take advantage of ad rates that are three to thirteen times cheaper. Democrats, though, retain a significant grassroots advantage, where small-dollar donations consistently out-raise Republicans.
