Two employees at Ernst and Young have been sacked and charged after accessing Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's personal banking details, according to The Guardian. The employees were on secondment at the Commonwealth Bank when they allegedly used the bank's systems to access the Prime Minister's private information. Albanese said the charges were appropriate, calling any privacy breach by contractors alarming. The incident is part of a broader accountability push against major accounting firms, including KPMG, for behavior the Prime Minister described as unacceptable and, in some cases, illegal.
