Ministers ‘furious’ over cuts to road projects to fund defence plan

According to The Guardian, the UK government is cutting road infrastructure projects to fund a fifteen billion pound increase in defense spending. Several MPs, including Robert Jenrick and Hamish Falconer, have publicly objected to the cancellations and delays affecting their own constituencies. Two roads in the East Midlands have had investment cuts to help pay for the expansion of the defense budget.
