Aboriginal artists painted giant ancestral beings as colonization arrived, study finds

Phys.org reports that a massive rock painting in Australia depicts a giant snake with a crocodile-like head and razor-sharp teeth. Measuring more than six meters long, it's among the largest Rainbow Serpent paintings ever recorded in Arnhem Land. The artwork adds to a series of similarly oversized paintings found across the region.
