Low(er)-Cost Humanoid Robot Leverages DIY Actuators

The Berkeley Humanoid Lite is an open-source reference design for a humanoid robot that uses three-D printed actuators to lower costs. Per Hackaday, the robot's frame consists of modular actuators combining motors with magnetic encoders and printed cycloidal gearboxes. While the total hardware cost remains under five thousand dollars, the design is intended to be more economical and customizable than other humanoid options.
