'They can come to Pakistan today': Khawaja Asif disputes claim by Imran's sons of expired Nicops

politics

Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif says the sons of former Prime Minister Imran Khan are free to visit the country immediately. Per Dawn (Pakistan), the minister dismissed claims that the brothers' National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis have expired, sharing partially censored document numbers that remain valid until twenty thirty and twenty thirty-two. This contradicts assertions from the brothers and their mother, Jemima Goldsmith, that the government has been deliberately denying them visas. While the government maintains no visa is required for these identity card holders, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting noted that entering the country does not guarantee access to visit the imprisoned former premier.
