A passenger ferry capsized and sank off Northern Cyprus on Sunday, killing at least eight people, with more than a dozen still missing. Dawn reports survivors described a blast at the bow before the vessel rolled over, with some passengers saying there weren't enough life vests aboard. The ferry, carrying 267 people bound for Turkiye, sank to a depth of over five hundred meters; authorities have taken the captain and seven crew members into custody. Turkish navy ships and private boats joined the search and rescue effort, as leaders including Pakistan's prime minister offered condolences to Turkiye.
