As America heads toward its two hundred fiftieth birthday, a new NPR, PBS News, and Marist poll shows the nation in a complex moment. The survey finds that while most Americans feel proud of the country, many simultaneously worry about where it's heading. Patriotism and anxiety, it seems, are making an appearance together this Independence Day season.
