Village People singer Victor Willis dies at 74, co-writer of YMCA and other disco hits

Victor Willis, the Texas-born co-founder of the Village People and co-writer of some of disco's biggest hits, has died at age seventy-four. According to Channel NewsAsia, Willis helped shape the sound of the late nineteen seventies with iconic songs including YMCA, In The Navy, and Macho Man — tracks that became defining anthems of the disco era and remain widely recognized today.
