According to The Guardian, nearly five hundred thousand moderate-income New Yorkers lose their health insurance today under legislation signed one year ago. The law, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, redirected nine hundred eleven billion dollars in federal health spending toward tax breaks for higher-income families and border security. Officials warn this is the tip of the iceberg for nationwide coverage losses.
