According to The Guardian, a prized glass engraving at Coventry Cathedral has been cracked during setup for a music event. The damage affected one of the massive angels etched into John Hutton's west screen—a twentieth-century masterpiece. A ladder used for the lighting rig struck the panel. The incident has sparked concern among heritage advocates, as cathedrals increasingly host outside events as a major source of revenue, potentially putting some of Britain's most significant religious architecture at risk.
