One dead and 15 people may be missing after flash flood in Arizona’s Grand Canyon

One person has died and about fifteen people are missing or unaccounted for after a major flash flood tore through the Grand Canyon national park in Arizona on Saturday afternoon, according to the National Park Service. The flooding struck near Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch, prompting park staff and the Arizona Department of Public Safety to evacuate more than sixty people by Sunday morning. The Guardian says the search for the missing continues.
