According to NPR, the Supreme Court has upheld birthright citizenship on constitutional grounds, protecting the right of children born in the United States to automatic citizenship regardless of their parents' immigration status. The ruling came on the final day of the court's term. Separately, Colorado's Democratic primary for a U.S. House seat in Denver has been won by a self-described democratic socialist, marking a shift in the district's political direction.
