According to a Gallup survey, scams cost US victims sixty-eight billion dollars in twenty twenty-five. The financial toll is staggering, but the psychological impact is equally troubling: nearly three in four victims reported experiencing mental health harm, from anxiety and depression to shattered trust in financial institutions.
